Story and plot summary
Aidan Lynch enters the Labyrinth to rescue his girlfriend Sunny. The Genesis Configuration gives him powers needed to survive Pinhead's bargain and the Scarlet Church's pursuit of the box. This is a spoiler-light setup; late reveals are on ending explained.

The Steam demo text introduces Aidan using the Genesis Configuration to help Sunny escape the Labyrinth. Wikipedia places the game 20 years after the 1987 film. The publisher line is a new story in Hellraiser's canon.
Setup, without the last choice
Aidan follows Sunny into the Labyrinth. The Scarlet Church takes the box. I am not retelling the film series.
